Jaipur airport 1st in country to have automatic weather observing system

Jaipur Airport: Jaipur International Airport has become the first in India to implement an automated weather observation system with runway visual range, enhancing flight operations. This new infrastructure facilitated the handling of 2,952 non-scheduled aircraft movements in 2024, including emergency landings. Recently, Udaipur-bound flights were diverted to Jaipur due to poor weather.
